    It would be nice if bbpress had some kind of module to invite people from social networks like facebook, myspace, orkut etc..

    I checked out http://openinviter.com/ .. The wordpress plugin that they offer doesn’t seem to work proper with wpmu, thus buddypress as well.. Am sure the plugin code could easily be modified to make it a perfect fit with buddypress..

    And then we can have an invite option in My account->friends->invite

    Am not a coder, so somebody who has the time can easily port the openinviter plugin to buddypress..

    what do you think about this idea?

    “Open Inviter” plugin http://openinviter.com/ is working with WPMU, try to download it from wordpress.org that one will work but not for all service providers.
