You know Boone, I might just be an idiot. I think I was expecting to see something else. What? I don’t know. I think I need to walk away for a minute.
Everything is working much better, than earlier. I need to narrow the sidebar and start styling the elements
Like a clever little chimp I resolved my css alignment issues. It was the container class I added beneath the span-15 colborder grid class.
there is a container class tag in the header.
I am still lost with finding the problem with the AJAX
I know nothing….
I fully agree with you on all points. I would love to make Buddypress part of my existing website.
I would expect someone who really knows how this thing works, will create a set of theme files to drop into an existing website, in order to allow the buddypress plugin to work properly. It just might be we are here a month to early.
Today another release candidate came out. They are hoping to have the final version early next week; so it is written. I have a feeling the whole team is focused on getting 1.2 finalized and will deal with theming issues soon after.

That’s cool someone took the time to write a book on Buddypress. Unfortunately there is the lag time with printing paper. I like the model used by the guys who did “Digging into WordPress”.
You can get a print copy but you also get a digital download with a lifetime (what ever that will mean) of updates. What ever the vehicle for the PDF book is that they used I don’t know but it is good and easy to use. I really like having it and look to it before Googling an answer (time suck).
