Hello Mark, thanks for the good reply. Basically we’re trying to keep our platform as simple and easy to use for our members as possible – without having to fuss with blog posts, access to the dashboard, etc. The geo-tags for activity don’t have to be too fancy to begin with. Maps for each activity are not required. Basically I see it working…[Read more]

At the moment, BuddyPress support includes user location and sitewide ”blog post” activity, which link back to the original posts. More BuddyPress components will be geo-tagged soon and are already part of the roadmap…

Due to Geo-Tagged activities not being part of the sponsored Laulima requisites, its a feature that will not be added until after 0.2.6, and this next round, from 0.2.5 to 0.2.6 is going to take quite some time, as there are a LOT of updates required – as seen in our roadmap – http://gpress.my/roadmap/

@AvatarRocks – At the moment, there is no way (out of the box) to add locations to activity updates, but it is real close to the top of the list, and seems to be something a lot of people are interested in, so how exactly do you see it working…? Regardless of whether each activity can be given its own location or not, where we would add the…[Read more]

@Pisanojm – Thanks so much for your good response. I’m going to look into the suggested plugin a bit more. It would be cool to see all of these feed style features in one plugin. And I may have some other contract ideas for you guys.
