Hi. Looks like BuddyPress is outputting content before it should be (or that’s what the error message looks like). The session is started by Secure Invites in the “init” event of WordPress, so anything outputting headers there is almost certainly wrong. Perhaps you could contact the BuddyPress guys to see what’s happening on…[Read more]

Yep, looks wrong. I’ll try it on my test server and let you know if I can fix it.

This will be a problem with one of the other plugins you have running printing output in the wrong place. Try turning off all your plugins (except secure invites) then turning them on one at a time and refreshing the page between each plugin. That will tell you which plugin breaks the site.

Not sure what the problem is, I thought that bug has been fixed. Can you give me an admin login for the affected site?

Are you using the latest version? Can you send me a link to your site so I can take a look?
-
I’m using 0.9.7.5 with WP 3.05. You can view my demo site here:
Just goto the blogs tab and click a couple of the blogs. Most will come up with a 404. To me, it seems like the blogs are only partially installed, part of the install failed, or part of the install went to an incorrect location, but idk.

Not at the moment, but in the future I hope to add this capability.

Thanks, I’ll make sure this fix is in the next version.

At the moment, no. You can turn the menu option off in the settings page, but any invite forms inserted on any page will still be shown.
In a future version I’ll add this as an option.

Sure. If you want to write this yourself and send it to me I’ll add you as a contributor to the plugin.

This is one of the features near the top of the list. Do you have any preference for a format to add invites? For example, would a CSV file with the invitees name and email address be OK?

Upgrade to the latest version, this bug has been fixed.

Yes, the next version of the plugin should do that. I can’t say when that will be ready, though.

Sorry, no ETA but it is top of the list for development (along with invite codes).

If you go to the settings page you will be shown the reason why the link is not shown in your admin menu. Normally this is because the user hasn’t been registered for long enough. The reason is also shown as an HTML comment, look at the code for any admin page.

I’ve just released version 1.0 of the secure invites plugin. This version should work OK with standard (i.e. not MU or MultiSite) WordPress. Please upgrade and check the installation section for help about changes to the installation procedure: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-secure-invites/

@MrWiblog Nice work :), any idea when this plug-in will work with Multi-site enabled? Pretty important I would think! And certainly for my projects, I will only be able to make use of it if it can work with Multi-Site.
🙂 -
@MrWiblog also, can u let us know what it is about multi-site that will stop this invite from working?

Sorry that the plugin isn’t working in WP3. I’ll see if I can get some time to fix it. Your patience is very much appreciated.

Thank you very much. It works great!
In the changelog it says: “Put reason for invite button not showing on the main settings page”. I just created a test user, but I can’t find the reason showing… The next days I will look more carefull for it… It would be awesome, if it would be shown instead of the button.
To show the reason at the sidebar, I just added the following line: else{do_action(“secure_invite_user_can_invite”);} on Line 1697 and everything works as i aspected.
This plugin is awesome! Thanks for coding and support!
