If you mean something that ”looks” and has the features of most popular forums then take a look in to using mingle forum plugin. That is what I use on my site. You can either install it from the wordpress plugins in admin or download from cartpauj.com they also have many different templates on their support forum to fit most sites. Hope this helps.

@mercime added that into wp-config.php but it still doesn’t allow members to @mention me properly. I would be willing to set up a test account for someone to try to understand the problem more if that will help.
