The Documentation link in the top menu results in a 500 error. I’m new to BuddyPress and don’t know where to mention this. I chose this location because it is under “Support”.

Just to clarify, I’d like to be able to use forums with threaded replies at both the global level and for groups. Right now it seems I can do it at the global level by using bbPress with the Threaded Replies plugin. That doesn’t work for group forums, which continue to use the BuddyPress forums. When turning off the switch for using Discussion Forums in the settings, as recommended in a LabZip video for BuddyPress/bbPress integration, I get an error message saying that they are required for Courseware and the switch must be left on.

I don’t mind making a code change to switch Courseware to use bbPress forums, if that is possible and you can’t point me in the right direction.

Versions: WordPress 3.4.2, BuddyPress 1.6.1, bbPress 2.2.2, bbPress Threaded Replies 0.4.3, BuddyPress Courseware 0.9.7.

I have the same question. Threading is a requirement for our LMS, and BuddyPress forums do not support threaded replies. We’re using a fresh install of the latest versions of WordPress, BuddyPress, bbPress and Courseware.
