    Ok I just upgraded BP 1.5.2 and running WP 3.3. commenting out line 43 stops working… any advise/help would be greatly appreciated…

    Stumbled into same problem and found this thread. Anyone has a robust solution for this? I don’t want to remove all the linking but just a certain field. I’ll try to do some testing on my own…

    I guess the question I’m trying to ask is: “what can be done on the theme or plugin level to help users not make that mistake?”

    I don’t think there’s a BP Privacy Component Setup page. You can change your user profile’s privacy option under /members/username/privacy/

    On my testing install I have WP 3.1 and BP 1.2.8 and it works fine.

    @jeffsayre can the privacy component plugin hide activity stream for a single user? has anyone else here done this before?
