I’m using WP3.5.1 and BP 1.7. But since 1.6.2 I’ve got the problem when posting activity: “There was a problem posting your update, please try again”

Can anyone help me to resolve it?

I have also tried to change it in MySQL database for a better full name, but after refresh it goes back with username. Very strange

I have the same problem, that is the member registered and the display name (Full name) is overwritten by username. And also I cannot change it using edit profiles (I typed the new one but it is still overwritten. […]

I have found the problem. That is because of the privacy settings for blogs. If they are set to ”block search engines” means also block activities record.

Hope this helps to anyone who has the same problem.
