@sushkov, thank you for clarifying, that makes perfect sense. And thank you for taking the time to point me in the right direction; I appreciate your help as well.

No problem and thanks that fixed the edit issue. Is there something else I can add to show the number of bibliographies; it is still showing 0? Also, I add the global $bp between lines 436 and 437 to be able to delete bibliographies as well.
-
Ok, so I’ve done a clean install, and I am getting the same issue.
-
There are only two teacher accounts and neither one can edit or delete bibs. Only the superadmin is allowed to do either.
-
Tried that and still nothing. I will have to do a clean install and see what happens.

The screenshot is below:

Well, that fixed part of the problem, but the teacher still can’t edit/delete the bibliographies and the number of bibliographies present is missing still.
-
Brilliant, now off to figure out what is causing it not to show up. Thanks for your help.
-
LOL….see that’s just it. I don’t remember deleting it and I’ve tried deactivating/reactivating several times and it is still missing.
-
Yes, it’s missing. How can I get it back?
-
Thanks, I’ve enabled debugging and there is no bibliography post type.

When a teacher is trying to edit or delete a bibliography, the following message appears “BuddyPress Courseware Error while forbidden user tried to edit bibliography.” Does this mean that no teacher is allowed to edit or delete once he/she enters a bibliography reference? Also, the it does state the number of bibliographies. Which table is [...]

@sushkov, I think using xprofiles is fine and logical. Normally, I don’t think anyone creates duplicate fields like I did. I knew that was the issue once I realized that I mistakingly created fields that already exist.
-
@sushkov, disregard, I found the issue. I created another field call occupation and teacher was one of the options. This new field interfered with the teacher role, and that is what was causing the issue. Thanks for your help.

That is exciting to read. Well, I have activated the plugin sitewide and on one subblog, I created a group. Then logged out and logged in as the admin, and made the user that created the group, a teacher. Then I logged back in as the teacher, went to the group, clicked on Courseware, and [...]
-
@sushkov, thanks for checking on this. Even if there isn’t a quick hack, maybe a future version could include this possibility or maybe an option of having it function on a per site activation instead of sitewide or maybe both.
-
It would be awesome if this plugin can work with
define ( 'BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG', true );defined for a multisite. If I use that line now, the error message states, “BuddyPress Courseware Error while forbidden user tried to add a new assignment.” This occurs when trying to add an assignment, add a schedule, Manage Bibliography or [...] -

Ah, I see. I’ve never noticed it before so did not think it was a bug. Thanks @r-a-y for bringing that to my attention.

I think I may have been a little unclear about what I am trying to do. I don’t want the blog’s description that is currently in the wp_bp_user_blogs_blogmeta table. I want the blog description that was entered in wp_{blog_id}_options table for each blog. The bp_blog_description tag works whether I copy over the file to the [...]
