Ah… now I see something more of how this is working…
If you are logged in and go to the groups list you get the correct list based on your membership hidden and all.
But the moment you enter a group you get an incorrect listing (for my purposes) in the group widget.

This plugin will be quite a core feature of sites I plan to create… It would be nice to provide a visually richer form of grouping of files rather than the simple categories attribute and dropdown filter selection… for example the categories could be presented as folders on screen with the files appearing within.
