so after I get the loggin user’s friend IDs then I loop through that array
but, how do I ask for posts by id? I can’t find it in the codex.

    After hours of searching… I’m guessing….
    (a) Nobody even has a clue how this should be done correctly.
    (b) The “professionals” at BuddyPress are too busy to offer a step by step answer.
    (c) This is impossible to do without mangling the core.
    (d) I’m impatient and need to wait several hours, possibly days for an answer.

If it’s a bug, or it takes effort, you won’t get an answer for a very long time if ever.

Found it! For anyone else wondering about this… The file that opens entry.php is permalink.php!

    Case closed.

Maybe the question should be, which template page is entry.php loaded by when you view a single post?
