I’m experiencing this on my site’s carousel/slider. I’ve found that deactivating the BuddyPress Template Pack plugin does restore the carousel, but BP pages suffer when that’s off. I’m scrambling for a fix. The site is http://tinyurl.com/9fmd4d5
My install was doing that as well. It took me a while, but playing with dev tools like Chrome’s “Inspect Element” let me isolate the CSS rules until I found the culprit. I did a cursory check on your site, but didn’t see where there was anything similar to my CSS solution. Good luck!
Have you tried “Conditional Logic” (https://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags)? There’s also a “Dynamic Widgets” plugin (https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=Dynamic+Widgets) I’ve found that works well!
