This is still a problem in Buddypress 1.6.3. It makes having Mods pointless as they are cannot edit the group details or manage membership requests.
Thanks. That means what is happening is correct then. A bit inconvenient that members of the group can only get to it by going to their ‘My Groups’ first or with the group URL.
It would be good if hidden groups were shown in the normal lists to people who are members of them, but I suppose it isn’t set up like that for efficiency reasons.
