applying the changes found at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/6332 still did not resolve the issue.
The error is being thrown from line 535 of the ‘/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php’ file
I installed buddypress via the plugin finder within wordpress so Im not sure if i got the same files that are from the latest trunk (assuming i didnt since i still have the error)
