2 Questions about Forums

Hello,
I am using the current versions of BP and WP.
#1 – When logged in I go to the forums page and automatically it already has “Post a new topic” opened, can this be changed? (originally it wasn’t open and you had to hit the “new topic” button…. Iam right?)
#2 – When creating a new topic can I have the “Post In Group Forum:” part already selected to a specific group instead of dashes
