BuddyPress.org

I’m working on a new BP theme but would love to have something to reference aside from the basic theme which ships with the install. Is there anything out there? I’m an experienced WP theme developer but am having trouble thinking round how widgets will be integrated into the design. Has anyone broken away from a basic three-columns? Is there a map showing which widgets can appear where?

I’m also having trouble finding out how I can size avatars, and what their ‘original’ size is.
