BackPress and BuddyPress $bpdb conflict

I’m trying to work with an external install of bbPress and I’m running into issues trying to do a “deep” integration with WPMU 2.8.4a, buddypress 1.1-beta and bbPress 1.0.2
The error that is thrown is:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class BPDB in /Users/mrh/Sites/irrational.dev/community/bb-includes/backpress/class.bpdb.php on line 39Which shows me that backPress and buddyPress are both using the same object name for the database abstraction class. Hopefully this will change! Is this a known issue and are there any plans to work on this?

So what I did to patch this was comment out the BPDB function on line 140 of /bp-forums/bp-forums-bbpress.php
Not ideal, I know – but it allowed me to keep working. Here’s the paste. http://pastebin.ca/1574452
