Blank Description Field in Profile Admin – can't edit

In BP Admin I’m finding the Profile Field Description blank (or more accurately “Description…”). The description content is still in the database and appears on the Signup page. It’s just not appearing in the Profile Admin Description Text Box so I can’t edit it. Running BP 1.2.3, WP 2.92. Anyone else seeing this behavior and/or have a solution?
