Broke member search again – troubleshoot ajax?

    Search on directories (members, groups, blogs) is broken again in my custom theme. Members search redirects home. Groups search bizarrely redirects to website.com/members/?s=

    It works in a previous version of my theme. So far I’ve been unable to trace back which changes, plugins, ajax/css could have caused it to break.

    Which files and pieces of code are involved in directory search?

    The html of the search form looks exactly the same on the version that works and the version that doesn’t, so I guess something is going wrong with the ajax. How do I troubleshoot that?

    Are u using the BP trunk version? It’s broken there …

    No, still using version 1.1.3. My custom theme is very different. Directory search works fine in the version that’s currently live. It’s broken in a new version of the theme that integrates P2, installed on a few test sites.

    There is probably a javascript clash somewhere. Or it may have something to do with that _wp_http_referer that I see in the form. What is that? I need some new ideas how to troubleshoot those ajax search fields.

    Anyone? Which files/functions are involved in members search? Which parts are most likely to break? What’s the best way to troubleshoot this?

    Hi. I have a similar problem but mine is that doing a search replaces the content box with an iframe of the wp-login. Any ideas how to solve this? I disabled ajax because of this.
