Changed Group Permissions – Lost messages

    I just changed a group from “private” to “public” and all the posts went away. I went back to “Private”, and they came back. How can I change this permission and keep the posts?

    That definitely should not happen. Are you running any other BP-related plugins that might be causing a conflict?

    Hi Boone

    Nope. Turned off all the plugins (except buddypress) and yes, we lose all the posts as soon as we make it public. On another install of Buddypress, it does the same thing.

    Hmm…

    I tested this on my site.

    I have a private group with all the activity stream posts, so I set it to “Public” and they all did indeed disappear.
