Convert WP posts to BuddyPress

    Hello from Holland!
    We have been running a WP website for several years and have accumulated hundreds of posts and reactions.
    Now we would like to start using the BuddyPress functionality of Groups and Forums within Groups to make the information easier to search.

    Anybody has an idea how I can ‘convert’ my old posts and reactions to organize them under Groups and Forums?
    Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

    How are you going to map this data?

    Comments I could see as being forum posts (espc. if you have threaded comments), but why/what about the Posts?

    I did have the same purpose on my wp site (http:_//_association1901.fr/blog).

    I created BP groups for my main categorys and installed the plugin external group blog for each group.
    The plugin allows to publish a external RSS feed ; so I put the RSS feed of the WP category to republish within the group all posts of the category.

    @Paul Gibbs: yes, that was a problem identified but depends on the solution.
    @Sam91: thanks! sounds like a solution. I will try this and celebrate with you if it works…
