CSS editing for Buddypress 1.2

    @justintpape

    I have recently taught myself from scratch how to make static websites using dreamweaver, basically using CSS and HTML. I am interested in using Buddypress to make it more dynamic, by including a forum and blog.

    I created a child themeof the default Buddypress 1.2 theme, and would like to edit the CSS to resemble my static site: http://www.pedalacrosstheamericas.com.

    I searched downloadable themes on the internet, but I am more interested in learning how to make my own.

    Sooo, I was able to change the background colour of the childtheme by adding CSS to the style.css file (I learned this from the “childtheme tutorial” that they have on this site) but the background is all I have figured out how to change so far. I really want to figure out how to change the height of the header so that I can fit my logo. If possible I would even like to make it a rollover image.

    I wish there was a manual or something that gave more details about working on the childtheme.

    Thanks,

    Justin
