Enable BP 1.5 responsive for child themes

How can I enable BP’s responsive styling for a child theme of bp-defualt please? I’m struggling with this. I have also tried wptouch pro to give my client’s users a better experience on the small screen but it doesn’t seem to be aware of BP pages generated from bp custom page templates.
