field groups – where do they show up?

I’m working through my first WPMU and BP install, fairly easy so far. My first big issue is that I can’t find where Field Groups are used. The default group shows up at sign up and on the profile edit page, but nowhere can I find any of the additional field groups I’ve setup. Am I supposed to do something special to get them on the site?

Hi.

First off you need to add some fields to the fields groups in order fÃ¶r them to show up.

After that they show up in two ways; when you fill out/edit your profile they show up as “tabs” at the top of the profile form.

When viewing a public profile they show up as sections, provided that the users has entered anything in a field in that field group.

Thanks for that. I just checked, there are indeed “tabs” (barely noticeable) when I try to edit my profile, and that info does show up on the public profile once populated. It’s not anywhere on the initial sign-up…is that by design? Is there a way to make the groups/fields available upon initial registration?

bloom, if you’re talking for extra fields for groups, you can’t add them,

i made a plugin to add extra fields for groups

Not that I know of (but I’m sure they could be hacked in there).
