Hi everyone,

i’m using Buddypress as an alumni where the username is the person’s ID number. The problem is that i don’t want ANYONE but the administrator to see someone’s ID (username).

Is there a way to hide this information from members? The username is showing on the profile pages (i managed to remove it from the display, but it stays at the permalink).

I thought about adding a field to the users form called “id number” but the problem is that i want to register everyone upfront with their ID’s so they don’t have to register, just login with their ID and password, which means the username would have to be the id number…

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
