How do I find a buddypress theme

Hello,

I simply want to know where to find a good buddypress theme? When I search “buddypress themes” in the backend of my wordpress site (in the appearance ->themes section) it only gives me a choice of like 4 themes. And the themes section on this Buddypress site (buddypress.org) is down. Do I have to wait until this buddypress themes section is back up and running to get a different theme? Are there other sites to downlaod a buddypress theme?

Also is there a good video tutorial out there that shows you how to work and design a buddypress site?

go to wordpress.org/themes in the search field type buddypress and click search themes button. There is 9 themes there.

Thanks! Are there only nine buddypress themes? If so, does this mean that the many sites that look great that use buddypress are made up of plugins and coding?

Some are but some are also premium themes which you have to pay for here is a couple links to those http://buddydev.com/themes/ and http://premium.wpmudev.org/ there are other sites as well that do buddypress themes. Try searching buddypress themes in google.

One last question. Do you know of a buddypress theme that will allow my users to upload music and a profiles into my site? I just browsed the premium themes and didnt see a specific one.

https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-media/ is a plugin for uploading lots of media. I only have a small amount of experience with it but you may want to give it a try. I just hope you have lots of server space though because doing this can make your site massive in size.
