How to change forum topic reply display order

On my installation of buddypress ( version 2.3.2 ) I have a forum. Under the forum topics people’s replies are listed oldest. I want to reverse it so newest comments get displayed at the top of the list.
I have found this post
and tied the suggested changes but it’s not working.
Please tell me how I can re-oder topic replies properly
