How to construct permalinks for status update

Hi all,
I have a small requirement(the implementation may be complex) of displaying the first few words of status update in the URL.
Lets say I update the status as
Applications display in a standard Web browser
the url should behttp://www.test.com/admin/activity/applications-display-in-a-standard-web-browser
Please help.
