Is Buddypress Right For Me? Any comments would be really helpful

    Hi all,

I’ve come across Buddypress as I use WordPress to run and maintain a few websites. I’d like to create an online community which is steered towards a particular sport/pasttime.

I’m not sure if I am asking too much from one plugin, but I’d like users to use a forum, add photo’s and videos to a particular section on the website (a gallery section broken into categories), and for some editorial members to have their own editable page(s) on the site.

I had a browse through the showcase and found H-Mag, which looks close towards what I am trying and achieve…but this doesn’t have a community image/video gallery which I would be trying to achieve.

Am I asking too much from Buddypress?

    Thanks in advance

AFAIK, as a prospective user like you evaluating all WP options, BP sounds ideal…but getting it to actually work seems like the bad ol’ days before Windows 3.1!!

TireKicker, consider this your first warning: If you haven’t got anything nice to say, go somewhere else. Stop spamming this forum.
