New Account creation

    On the front page of my WP install with buddypress default template installed, I do not have the following message for new account creation:

    To start connecting please log in first. You can also create an account.

    I do have:

    To start connecting please log in first.

    Is there a config setting for the plugin that needs enabled? This is a WP 2.9.2 configuration which currently only has 1 member in buddypress, the WP admin user.
