no “create a group”

i know i went through this before but after killing my site and starting my entire wp installation over i now have everything in my “CHILD THEME” (HOOORAH!!!).
1. However, i want to point out a problem that occurred again. There is no “create a group” in the group section of BP. The only way i had it before is when i used the “ADD ALL NAV LINKS” plugin where i then have “activity” “notifications”……………………..”community”
if i go to the community it will show me a group and then in that selection there is a “create group” option . I have not installed the “add nav link” plugin so it can now be seen clearly what im talking about.
2. also, easy albums and album+ now says it hasnt been tested with my version of bp
3. i would still like to remove the buddy press bar from my site and add it’s content directly to my navigation bar?
