    Hey Wonderful and Gifted:

Can anyone steer me to the right file inside buddypress to change/remove the login/password form on the left side of this “non-logged in” page:

    http://londonwomen.glrf.info ?

I modified the wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-templatetags.php file to remove the login/password form at the top right of the page so that you can see the modified (and elongated) registration button.

Now I just want to change the code in the core, and yes I know that is pure craziness but not being able to write custom php instructions, this is my only option.

I have looked everywhere in any number of files but I can’t find the code to change this left column for login.

Thanks for any insights. I use wpmu 2.8.4a and bp 1.03 and as you can see the layout is just the default.

    Brian

Sorry to bother you smart and talented.

Finally found the file, which is now considered so last century since it is part of bpmember, userbar.php.

Got what I wanted. Phew, only 4 hours of work! :)

    Good night and good luck.

As you said in you OP, modifying the core file is a BIG mistake. Instead, place all your custom code in a file called bp-custom.php. Then place that file in /wp-contents/plugins/.
