i’ve build something in my spare time the last months, which is now finally open for beta-testing.
the project is called »plazaa«. On plazaa you can rate/review/recommend locations in german cities (5 currently).

It’s running WPMU and the latest BuddyPress version.
Most of the work was on the templates and of course the functions.php

There are around 10+ plugins in use, like GD Star Rating (Star-Rating), YOURLS (plaz.es url shortener), Search Everything (going to look for other solutions probably), Invite Anyone, SEO for BP, W3 Total Cache ..and some more

I would like to thank all people who contribute a lot of good code in the bp-forums, which helped me a lot (i’m a designer, not really a coder).

geat job @poolie I have been looking your site, couldn’t belive that is a buddypress website at the first galance. How did you integrate a mobile apps into wordpress? I am courious how your business is running? I hope all goes well.
