Querya – WP/BP powered q&a community

  • Hi everyone,

I would like to show you my WordPress/BuddyPress powered project, which just launched its public beta a few days ago.

You can find it at http://www.querya.com/

With Querya you can start your own question & answer community. It is similar to stackoverflow.com / stackexchange.com but open for everyone to create an own q&a site. Users can post questions and get answers from experts around a certain topic area. Currently its in german only, but maybe also available in other languages soon.

The system is based on WordPress and BuddyPress and uses about 16 different WordPress plugins, like BuddyPress Rate Forum Posts, Cubepoints, Invite Anyone etc. At this point many thanks to the amazing WordPress Community!

Since the side is build on WordPress/BuddyPress I started a q&a site around WordPress and BuddyPress of course ;-) Have a look at http://www.querya.com/groups/wordpress-buddypress/

I am interested in feedback and suggestions. Although the language is german I am sure non german speakers will be able to understand a little bit ;-) Feel free to post questions & answers and let me know what you think about it.

    Cheers!
    Daniel

  • Looks pretty cool. Built on Frisco?

    Thanks Paul!
Yes you are right, it is build on Frisco. I like Frisco very much, because it is clean and clearly arranged. Nevertheless I made a lot of changes to it, to make my site unique and make it work with the plugins I am using.

This site looks awesome. I’ve been trying to figure out how to replicate the stackpress model…

Would you mind sharing your complete list of plugins?

Great looking site. I echo @driftless and would appreciate a plugin list a well. I have tested hundreds of plugins but always on the lookout for new ones!
