[Resolved] Links don’t work on new install

I’ve just installed buddypress with the default them and none of the links in the main site menu work. They all return 404 errors.

EG Activity is http://localhost/Hot%20Button/activity/
for a 404

Plus there doesn’t seem to be any way to edit the urls.

Any ideas?

Are you using an apache server ?

Do you have a htaccess file ?

Shane,

yes and yes, but it’s just a basic install, I haven;t changed anything.

I would have thought that buddypress would actually work with a default install.

I did a fresh install of both WP and BP and that seems to have fixed the issue.
