Is it possible to restrict group forums to members only?

As it currently is on my site, anybody can view and reply to forums on the group, so it doesn’t seem worth them joining the group.

I only want members to be able to write on the wall and use forums. Is this possible?

Isn’t this what happens / is supposed to happen when you make the group a private group at [Group name/Admin/Settings – on the front of the site accessible if you are logged in as site administrator/group administrator?

” This is a private group
Only users who request membership and are accepted can join the group.
This group will be listed in the groups directory and in search results.
Group content and activity will only be visible to members of the group.”

I don’t mind other users coming along and signing up, it’s just that I don’t want them being able to write on the forums if they are not a member of the group
