Setting Permissions to allow specific BP users to blog

  • I started out setting up a content management website for a small organization. Recently, the founder of the organization has indicated he would like to set up a blog on the site. The site currently utilizes the lastest version of WordPress and Buddypress. However, I have not yet set up the website as a WordPress Multisite or Network. Upon doing so, I know that buddypress will allow all of the users on website to start their own blog. Is there anyway that I could specify a certain user role and above (such as Editor and Admins) to only have the capability of publishing a buddypress blog? If not, do you know of any other options available to allow me to do this without making a ‘faux’ blog (through using widgets, plugins and manipulating categories on a page)?
