Share content TO buddypress

    hey all!

    I don’t know much about buddypress but am writing other webapps.. Is there a way to share content TO a buddypress-instance (a particular one), so that the user logged in into that particular buddypress-session shares the given link/desc onto his activity-stream?

    If so, could you please be so kind and point me to the API/required plugin/etc?
