Teachers cannot create a course

I just installed buddypress together withe the BP coureseware.
Inside the BuddyPress settings and more specific in the group settings i unchecked the “Enable group creation for all users” box.
After that in the courseware i enable the global settings, collaboration settings and the assignment responses private.
Any hep?
Why the teacher cannot create a group?
