Terms of Agreement checkbox for registration?

Is this a feature in the later versions of BuddyPress, or is there a recent plugin that does this? No luck searching for an answer. I would think this is a standard feature of registration, no?

I’ve been using the BP Xtra Signup plugin to get a terms of agreement checkbox during registration, but it hasn’t been updated in two years and doesn’t work with newer versions of BuddyPress anymore.

    Thanks in advance!

This can be done out of the box. In the dashboard/users/profile fields create a new profile field under base because this is the fields in registration and under “Is this field required” make it required. In “field type” choose checkboxes. Under “please enter options for this Field:” just leave sort as is and in the text field below it type “I Agree To The Sites Terms Of Service” (This can be what you want really just a suggestion). Under “Default Visibility” check Default value. And That wraps it up really.

Suggesting as a trac ticket is not necessary. Its already there if you just do the follow the instructions given!

Thanks @bphelp, that’s a great option. I’ll have to work on getting the text for that significantly smaller now! See the two options: http://coolurbanhousing.com/register where the BP Xtra Signup formatting is more in line with how one normally sees it (subtle) on a registration page.
