Two Nav Bars

I am trying to create two navigation bars, simply because the main BP nav bar takes up too much space when there are a number of WordPress pages. I want to be able to add various WP pages, and sub-pages, and there isn’t the space at the moment.

I am currently using the BP Columns 1.2 Theme, just because it has 2 sidebars, which I also need. Ideally, the Theme would show the second (WP) nav bar below the header, but I am open to suggestions.

Can anyone point me in the right direction – I can’t see anyway in the standard Buddypress to do this. I wondered about setting up a separate Page Template for Buddypress or WordPress pages, and only showing Buddypress on the BP pages, but it doesn’t feel like it’s the correct way to do it.

    Pointers, anyone?

After a delay, without responses, I just decided to rebuild the menu as a separate menu in the code for the page.

I still wonder if there is a simple way to integrate WordPress and Buddypress Menu items for future projects
