when using Arabic usernames, members page give (not found) error

hey, I have wanted to use Arabic usernames so I submitted it in wordpress trac, a kind developer there helped with a plugin that successfuly worked on creating Arabic username, and authors page then work on single wordpress only, but in buddypress it give error, it’s all described here:

Anyone have any idea how to fix that for buddypress? I know that 1.5 is due any time soon, that’s why I didn’t want to post this in trac and posted here instead

I tried now, it say: Only lowercase letters and numbers allowed

@walid3 – This is a valid concern. Please post a ticket – https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/newticket/

BuddyPress currently checks if alphanumeric characters are inputted for the username during registration validation.

Unless there’s a valid reason for the alphanumeric check, it might be wise to just piggyback off of WP’s username validation functions.
