New Install – Seems not to work fully

sorry I’m gonna sound like a noob but whatever I’m missing eludes me.

Installed a new WP (Stand alone) 2.9.2 and BuddyPress http://tvcm.co.uk/community/

all looks really nice but I don’t think it’s working as should be – none of the items in the admin bar seem to do anything

can’t seem to see anywhere where a user would change their avatar

In the BuddyBar, navigate to “My Account > Profile > Change Avatar”.

Your site seems to work fine for me.

How odd. It doesn’t work for me at all. Every click just brings me to the home page. I’ve tried Chrome instead of FF and cleared the cache

Looks like you renamed your “admin” account.

That might be causing your problems.

Also try adding the following to your /wp-config.php file:

define( 'BP_ENABLE_USERNAME_COMPATIBILITY_MODE', true );

Btw, disregard that “admin” account thing I mentioned above.

I’m just so used to a default “admin” account!
