Avatar upload from webcam with realtime face detection

OpenCV, an object detection C library has been ported to flash and can be used also for face detection.
This demo http://www.squidder.com/2009/02/26/realtime-face-detection-in-flash/ gave me the idea of using it for an improved avatar upload.
In the demo the script automatically find your face and take square pics, perfect for avatars.
I’m not into flash development at all, some flash dev here? do you think it could be possible?
