Changing default buddypress menu names

Hi,

I have read through http://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/ on how to create a language file for BP so I can change labels etc. I’m using Poedit to create a new mo file and have created a bp-custom file to call the mo file. But my question is, where do i put the mo file? I have put it in bp-languages but this doesn’t seem to work or make any difference to any labels/menu names?

Any help would be fantastic
