How to exclude a page from the Navigation Bar

I have a Terms of Service page which I don’t want to show up as a tab in the Navigation Bar: it’s a sub-page of the About page, and I really just want a link to it in the footer.

I’m using the Default theme, and have the About page set as the static front page. Could someone please tell me how to remove the tab and add the link? Thanks!

To exclude any WP page from the navbar, try this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exclude-pages/

To add links to your footer, simply edit your child theme’s footer.php file.
