Trouble with installing buddypress

  • Hello everyone,

I have recently installed wordpress (which is working fine) and I now want to add buddypress plugin. I go to add plugin and then I search for buddypress and i click on install. Then it requests username-password and host name, but when I click on continue, there is a message that “Cannot find the WordPress (wp-content) content folder”. I logged in with filezilla just to check that there *is* such folder, and as it should be there is. However, I cannot understand why it cannot find it. Is it because I have the “greek” version? However, folder names are still in english…

    please help! thanks

Since you also use filezilla, have you tried to upload the buddypress to the plugins folder (wp-content/plugins) instead of from search?

wordpress requires a huge amount of memory to load … arround 30Mb …
when you are activating buddypress it requires more ….

running phpinfo I found the default memory limit was 34MB
via .htaccess i have increased my memory to 64M now it is working fine i can access my wp-admin
