Forum & Users Management
-
I would like you to help to realise the connection between 3 groups of users
with 3 separate forums. Each user type can connect to a specific forum
but cannot see or connect to the others.I am on WP 3.5 and BuddyPress obviously.
So here are the steps.
1/
I have created 3 forums :
Conseil d’Administration
Délégués
Adhérents
2/ I have installed the plugin called Members and created 3 custom
roles which have the same names. Here are the features of the roles created :
delete_replies
edit_replies
participate
spectateSo, a member with the role ‘adherent’ should only access to the Forum ‘Adhérent’
a member with the role ‘delegue’ should only access to the Forum ‘Délégués’,
etc. This logic would occur for all the given roles & group.
By accessing to a specific forum, the user should only be capable to :see topics
create a topic
submit attached files
edit and cancel their own post but not the one of others !in their specific forum but not in the other forums.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT ALL USERS CAN SEE TOPICS AND CREATE TOPICS IN THE OTHER FORUMS !
Besides, the client would appreciate that only the specific forum linked to his identification username / pswd would appear at login and do not see the 2 others ones.
3/ Then I edited the forum access with the following options :
Status : Open
Visibility : PrivateHere is the link and the admin access : http://www.photographes-france.net/forums
I hope to have been really precise.
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME ?
Regards,
A.Rizzotti
