Image rating and few other stuff

Hi!
I am quite new to Buddypress but I have to admit that I am fascinated by it`s possibilities. I am creating a website where I am using Buddypress Album+ by Francesco Laffi & Carl Roett and I would like to add function of images rating and displaying top 10 images at the home page. I would like to as well display 10 last photo of user`s friends under top 10 at the home page. I was trying to disable avarage user to access dashboard but I failed. I would like to as well display latest 20 activities of user`s friends at the home page. Is it possible? And if it is could you give me tips on how to do that. I do have my own theme which is fully working with buddypress. It is builded of three blocks – similiar to facebook.Thanks guys and sorry for any spelling mistakes – english is not my mother tongue.
