Plugin read this first notification

Hi Everyone,
Not a totally bp centric question, but I’m working on a plugin that’s going to change drastically in terms of features and docs, and I remember that bp had this interesting feature where there was a small warning below the upgrade notice saying to read the upgrade instructions. Does anyone know how it was done and point me in the right direction?
